The BACDC 2025 Hometown Heros Banner Campaign
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: I want to say "Thank You" to my board of directors for all the hard work this past year. Greg Javens: As the coordinator for the Veteran's Banner Project. Moving the banners to Smith Twp. and installing the new banners was a lot of hard work. Recruiting Dan King as your assistant was greatly appreciated. John Nemeth: For all your help with construction repairs, moving and installing the Veterans Banners.Lisa Slopek Sinkko: All the clerical work you provided along with developing our Website and Facebook posts. I really appreciate it. These are just a few things these 3 people did this past year to move the Burgettstown Area Community Development Corp. forward. As a group, we made all the decisions together and worked together to improve the quality of life for our community. Thanks so much. Looking forward to another year of accomplishments!Pamela Slopek Church
The Bacdc wishes Everyone in the greater Burgettstown area a happy thanksgiving 🦃
The BACDC finished putting up the Veteran's Banners in Smith Twp. today. Pictured is Greg Javens, behind the banner and John Nemeth holding the ladder. These guys worked tirelessly to have them displayed before Memorial Day. Greg is the Vice President and John is the Maintenance Supervisor for the BACDC. Pam was there for moral support. LOLLisa, our secretary is organizing our event on National Trail Day!Come and set up a table with your yard sale items, handmade items or your farmer's market inventory on June 1st along the trail by Paradise on the Trail.
The BACDC has been Hard at Work
Hello All, Today Tri-State Services completed the electrical part of the mechanicals for the Burgettstown Welcome Center and Retail Space. as you can see in the pictures, the lines are dropped below the ceiling because our plan is to construct a hostel on the second floor for overnight stays for trail users or concert goers. Tri-State will come back and install the lights in the ceiling once we have it completed. my plan is to apply for a grant to have the plumbing, Heating and Air Condtioning installed this year. Any Funding that we receive goes back out into the Community.
Our board members are still very motivated and ready to work.
Our Board:
Pam Slopek-Church: Founder/President
Greg Javens: Vice President
Lisa Slopek-Sinkko: Secretary
John Nemeth: Construction Supervisor
thanks to the community for your support
Pam
